Richard Kleinmaier studierte Gitarre am Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in München. Seitdem arbeitet er als Studiomusiker, Arrangeur, Komponist sowie als Musiker und Sänger in den bekanntesten deutschen Bigbands. Als Seminardozent unterrichtet er Gitarre und Ukulele an verschiedenen Musikschulen. Seine Ukulele-Workshops sind beliebte Treffpunkte für interessierte Spieler.
